Book & Podcast coming August 2026
The Book
Just like Vince Lombardi’s legendary football team, the Packer wives of the 1960s found themselves at the epicenter of a cultural revolution as they negotiated race relations and burgeoning fame in a tiny city most of them had to look up on a map.
They sent their husbands off to training camp with brown-bagged lunches; worried about player cuts and season-ending injuries; fed and counseled sweaty players in the middle of their two-a-day workouts; hosted integrated dances; broke curfew on the eve of the first Super Bowl to rendezvous with their husbands; played practical jokes with the players’ jockstraps; nursed their husbands’ bruised bodies and battered egos long before the emergence of team dietitians and sports psychologists. They made mistakes, made up, and made lifelong friends.
In a Real Housewives of the NFL meets Hard Knocks story, the wives of eight NFL Hall of Famers and 11 other members of the Lombardi Packers give us a behind-the-scenes look at life in Green Bay, Wisconsin during a decade that dramatically changed a city, a franchise, the NFL, a nation and the world.

The Podcast
These Packer wives knew how to model a mini skirt and throw a perfect spiral. They integrated a small Wisconsin city in the midst of the national civil rights movement, hosting cocktail parties and wearing their grandma’s pearls.
Young, curious and deeply in love, these women came to Green Bay to support their husbands and found themselves at a crossroads, facing the hot lights of fame and the coldest winters most of them had ever known.
This podcast is for football fans, believers in dreams and any sucker for a good love story.
